Terms of service
Last updated September 27, 2026
These terms cover your use of PayStubVerifier, operated by Derek Choate ("we"). By using the service you agree to them. Questions: support@paystubverifier.com.
What the service does
You upload pay stubs and we produce an income worksheet: figures read from the stubs, annualized income, a rent-to-income ratio, and arithmetic checks. It is a tool to speed up your own review, not an underwriting, lending, tenancy or employment decision, and not a consumer report. Figures are read automatically and can be wrong; check them against the documents. A flag means "look closer", not proof that a document was altered, and a clean result doesn't prove a document is genuine.
Your responsibilities
- Only upload documents you're authorized to process, with any consent the law requires from the person they describe.
- You're responsible for how you use the results, including complying with fair housing, fair lending, equal credit opportunity and consumer reporting laws. Don't use the service to discriminate against anyone.
- Don't use the service to create, edit or pass off fake pay stubs, or to test ways of getting forged documents past verification.
- Don't try to get around page limits, overload the service, or access other people's accounts.
Plans and billing
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Each plan includes a number of pages per billing period. Unused pages don't roll over.
- Cancel any time in Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods except where the law requires.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period.
- Free limits may change at any time.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make using the results, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If we change them we'll update the date above and email account holders about significant changes; continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
